SUMMER PROGRAM

The 2012 Sonshine Summer Program will run from Monday, June 11^th through Thursday, August 30th.

Monday - Friday 6:30am-5:30pm (We will be closed the week of July 2, 2012)

We will accept children from age 3 (already toilet trained) through 2nd Grade (just completed).

We have designed our Summer Program to be more than just playtime. We follow a curriculum throughout the summer and emphasize a different theme each week.

Each week we incorporate (*based on weekly theme):

·         weekly Bible point*

·         weekly Bible lesson*

·         daily teaching lessons

·         indoor/outdoor play time

·         activities and games*

·         music*

·         daily craft / weekly craft*

·         field trip

·         sprinkler day

·         pizza day (Friday)

Cost:

• Please contact Sonshine for fee prices $50 Registration Fee
• $35.00 per day
• Pizza Day: $2.75 per week (participation not required – not billed)
• Fees are billed on Monday and payment is expected on Friday of that week.
• If your child attends more days than you signed up for you will be billed the following Monday and payment will be expected on Friday of that week. (If would like to bring your child in on a day that you didn’t sign up please call first to be sure we have enough staff on for that day.)

Your Child will need to bring 2 snacks and a lunch each day.  Fridays is Pizza Day if you choose to order. Your child will receive a slice of pizza (Sals), chips and juice. Snack time is provided once in the morning and once in the afternoon. We ask that you provide a healthy snack for your child.

Anyone interested in enrolling their child in the Summer Program must fill out an application that can be obtained from our website or the Director.  You will be asked to sign up for which days/weeks your child will attend the Summer Program. If you decide that your child will not attend a certain day/week we expect a two week notice  by note for staff considerations. Once you sign your child up you are committing to those days and will be charged whether you child is here or not unless we receive the two week notice by note.

• Friday: Pizza Day / Sprinkler Day

       *On days that are over 80 degrees we take the children swimming or at Hood Park or to the water play area at Humphrey   Park or we will swim in the pools at Sonshine, please make sure swimming suit & “marked” towel come daily with your child.

The days consist of stories, crafts, music, play, games, learning activities, weekly field trips, rest time and water play (on those hot summer days).  They are eventful and fun for the children.  WE LOVE SUMMER CAMP!
